How long does it take to get my order?
All of our bags are made-to-order, so our processing time is a little longer than the usual stock-shelf warehouse stores. Most retail orders are processed within 10 business days and shipped out via USPS or UPS.
Larger orders, custom design orders, special orders, and wholesale orders may take longer.
Please contact us BEFORE placing an order if you have any time concerns.
Can you do rush orders?
Not usually. However, there are some cases where we can fill an order fairly quickly and arrange for Overnight or Priority shipping. If you are in a rush, please contact us BEFORE YOU ORDER to see if we are able to accommodate your deadline.
Who makes these bags?
Our bags are made-to-order by a network of independent sewing-crafters in the USA. This allows us to offer our customers a more personalized service with custom sizing and fabric combinations, wider fabric and color options, and other choices that factory-made bag companies cannot offer.
Can you make sizes other than just those listed on your website?
Yes. We make all our bags to order, so we can make the size that's just right for you. Simply contact us for more information and price quotes on a special size.
Can I get a different type of drawstring for my bags?
Some bags come with a tassel option. We have other drawstring types available through Special Order, although an additional fee may apply. For our bulk quantity and wholesale customers, there is a larger selection of drawstring options that can only be ordered in larger quantities.
Can you embroider or put a logo on these bags?
We cannot do embroidery, stamping, or screen-printing ourselves. We highly recommend that you use an embroidery or printing service in your local area so that you can oversee the work first-hand.
What are the minimum orders and requirements for wholesale prices?
Anyone can get bulk discount prices if they meet the minimum order requirements of at least 25 bags of one fabric and color. 25-99 bags - 15% off retail base price 100-299 bags - 25% off retail base price.
Wholesale pricing is available for orders over 300 bags.
Your wholesale prices are not very competitive with other companies I've seen on the internet. Why are your products more expensive?
As with many things in life, you get what you pay for. Many other companies compromise the quality of their products in order to offer an attractive price. When you see a 5x7" velvet bag selling for $0.30, chances are that it is made from a thin velour or plastic-backed velveteen. Most of these companies either carry only imported pre-made products, or have a very high minimum order policy for special sizes or colors.
We are frequently approached by manufacturers in Asia offering to make our bags for us, often with minimums of 10,000 bags in one size, fabric, and color only. If you are looking for that sort of quantity, we will be happy to refer you to them.
We've found that our small business customers appreciate the higher quality fabrics and lower minimum order requirements, as well as our customized options for their bags.
If I order a bunch of bags from you and they won't work with my project, can I return them or exchange them for a different size or color?
No. Because all of our bags are made-to-order, we don't keep a stock on hand and therefore don't accept returns or exchanges on merchandise on orders that were made just as they were requested.
However, we do strongly encourage our customers to contact us before they place an order to discuss their sizing and fabric needs. We are happy to send out fabric samples and sizing bags to make sure that the bags will work with your project before we take your order.
How come the restocking fee is so high if I cancel my order before you ship it?
The reason for the restocking fee is because our products are made-to-order and often a piece of fabric cannot be re-used once it is cut to the requested size. Nor can we return the fabric we purchased to make your order. If you cancel an order after we've already purchased and/or cut the fabric for your order, we have to charge a restocking fee to compensate for the unreturnable/destroyed fabric. We generally order fabric and/or start cutting within a few hours of an order being placed.
This policy is similar to those of seamstresses and custom tailors who require a non-refundable 50% deposit for beginning a job, and for exactly the same reasons.
Why don't you keep some pre-made bags in stock?
With our business, we never know what our customers are going to need. Rather than driving up our prices and limiting our sizes, colors, and fabric choices by stocking thousands of pre-made bags, we prefer to make them as they are ordered and give our customers more of a variety to choose from.
Are all your fabrics manufactured in the USA?
No. While we do all the sewing here in the USA for our custom bags, some of the fabrics we use are imported from overseas. For example, silk fabric must be imported from areas where the silkworm cocoons are harvested for fabric production.
We do try to use American manufacturers and distributors for fabrics, cording, and embellishments whenever possible. We prefer using smaller domestic companies for our materials rather than ordering supplies from large global corporations.
